Twenty Years later, 2011

Beep brr beep brr…

There goes my phone, staring at the phone; a smile appears on my face.

Text message from Shreya

“What happened? Why no replies?”

And the smile stretches.
Isn’t this the story with every guy?? By know you must be thinking that she is my girlfriend and etc.

I won’t blame you guys; there is lot of Bollywood running through us. She is my best friend, and I love irritating her. So this was one of my ways to do so, I wanted to write and so I shut my phone for a while. But I won’t disappoint you by telling that I don’t have feelings for her.

“Nothing was caught up with something, what you doing?”

Delivered to, Shreya.

That makes my day, every time I am down, and this point of time I did need this text. It is nothing new, a guy falls in love with his best friend. The same love bug had bit me, but yes unlike the other guys who are scared to tell the girl, I did tell her that I have feelings for her.

Beep brr beep brr...

“what something?”

“Cleaning my room, not like you who keeps it dirty :P “

 Delivered to, Shreya.

It’s been two months since I told her, and after that there was a lot drama, but eventually I convinced her that my feelings aren’t going to affect our friendship and we’ll be friends for life, nothing else.

We guys always end up falling for the wrong one, and when we fall for the right one, it’s just the wrong timing. Damn! I mean listen to this. Shreya and I studied together in school till class 4 and then she left school, and she came back again in class 7, she left again. I had no clue where and how she was until two years back, I met her on Facebook, and we started chatting, then slowly texting and then slowly that turned to calls and that still goes on. I had never thought I’d ever know a girl so well, keeping in mind how difficult it is to understand them. I had gone through a break up a few months before I got in touch with her, and she was on the verge of one. Initially all I was looking for was a person whom I could talk to, talking for me is like John Abraham or Sonam kapoor trying to act. Seriously it isn’t something I am proud of. When the days turned to weeks, and the months to a year, it’s only then I realised how close we had got.  In that year, we shared our aspirations, what we liked, what we didn’t and so on. It turned out to be the same. Like I love Chinese food, and so does she, (I know half the world does!) don’t pull me on that, then we like reading, we like sad songs, the old melodies of Bollywood, I really don’t know what fusion music is but all I know is I like it when I listen to it, so does she. I mean the list goes on. Cooking is something I like to do and baking is
