The Great Indian Plan

Sometimes it just feels that the Congress never had plans to develop our nation, looking back into the history you will realize that the congress predecessors had ensured that there would be no revolution within  the country in the future and it is being proved from the past 2 years.

The day we got Independence, the powerless Indian leaders were on seventh heaven, the new found power was addictive and it got into them, they quietly kept exploiting the faith that our ancestors had on them. Since then, slowly eating up the wealth of the country. Then as time passed by, we Indians got busy in building our lives for our familiy's well being and prosperity. Somehow the trust on the government didn't break; there was no one else to look up to. The sorrow of losing family and friends for the independence of the country was still fresh and it was rare to find a leader then. They were all the Nehru’s and Gandhi’s, the other leaders, I feel could do nothing as the entire support of the country was with Nehru, the most trusted man then. Constitution was made in a way to exploit people all over again, the Reservation was put raise the backward class, but then what, today after 60 years there is no one to revoke it, the usage of reservation has taken a political turn and the war today is for vote banks. The addiction of power has done this. If they can’t win an election on merit, we let them win on such grounds, and then came the religion issue, initiated by the BJP, again to capture vote banks. These issues have broken the real unity of our country; we end up blaming each other for the situation we are in today. We have lost the ability to trust mankind, and poverty is increasing so has suffering increased; somehow the plans of the leaders looked to be taking shape.

Even the economic reform were long thought plans, first closing doors for the foreign investment and strict policies, and then when we weren't able to manage we opened the doors to liberalization and making our economy a depended one gradually over the time. Increased corruption and increased inflation added up the misery. We are addicted to luxury now, the sources of income are many but the means to achieve are rigged. Money speaks, so the rich get richer and the poor, poorer. Story doesn't end here, I am sure they had thought of the fact that some day when the people realize that they were cheated and they will want justice. So the master stroke was made already, the unity broken by caste and religion politics. Today we are so held up in our lives that when there is revolution we can’t be a part of it. The personal future has taken priority the spirit of nationalism is drained.

I’d say well played, but it will not be late when the tables will turn and justice will be done. Indeed the sufferers will be us it will be a punishment for being negligent. Then this punishment will be a realization   of our mistakes and will be worth everything. The mantle will fall onto someone responsible who will rise above the self and be an example. Then the nation will see a real hero. You or me how does it matter, then it will not ‘me’ or ‘I’ it will be US!
