A Place with opportunities!
People often say face your fear to unfear the fear, I know the word doesn't exist, but for petty readers who read for fun, it’s just what they always want to read. Anyways, I did face a few of my biggest fears; basically I have a phobia of phobias, so just forget it. But then if you really want to get over the fear of crowded places, confined spaces and bad smell, then this is the best thing to read.
I don’t know why people spend so much money on going to a gym, and to a psychiatrist to get rid of their fears. But then, read carefully whatever I have to say. May be, you might end up paying me for writing this.
The answer is very simple, get into a crowded MTC bus and then wait to experience the most exhilarating feeling of overcoming your fear. Once you stand at the door of the bus, you will find that the number of people getting down is the square of the people minus the number of people getting down the bus. So then stand in bus, that is if you can, most of the time you’d be doing a particular ‘aasana’ in yoga, where you stand on one leg. Then starts the unfearing process, you’d be looking at your watch and making estimations whether you’ll reach college/work/school etc on time, just then there will be a push and that will get back you to reality, followed by a series of push and pulls with the driver providing the special effects by braking as and when he feels like, and trust me you wouldn’t mind any of it. Then best part is yet to begin so fasten your seat belts.
Since you have taken all the pain to be pushed around, it is the responsibilities of the fellow travellers to give you something in return, and what they give you is their aroma! I read this somewhere, that when a person lets you share their aroma the person shows his/her closeness towards you. So you have to respect it! Things like the smell of sweat. Your arms are holding the bar on the ceiling of the bus so that you can stand or at least manage to, but I realised that when the bus is crowded and people standing are holding the bar, all our arms are raised up, and your nose would be on the armpit of the next person, his nose on someone else’s so this continues and people share the aroma. I know the word aroma should be used for something which smells good, but then here the aroma is giving all due respect to the feelings of the person who is just trying to divert your attention from all the pushing and pulling.
Then one very important thing to remember is please keep you cell phone in normal mode and not on vibrate, because I remember the day when a guy was laughing away to moon, saying that his phone was on vibrate mode and when a lady was passing him, it vibrated exactly when her bum touched his thigh and “Brr..Brrr..Brr” I assume you all can imagine what would the scene would have been.
I guess the government should make bus journey compulsory for every citizen; it helps in making people fit, with all the shoulders trying to balance the bodies, the yoga aasana’s that are done, and all the running one has to do to catch a bus, not only that it allows you to share aroma! Isn’t that just beautiful! Oh god! Thank you very much for the fact that you got us the MTC bus. Country that exercises together stays together! Oh oh how could I, I forgot to tell you about all the jasmine flowers which glorify the oiled hair of most of the women, isn’t that a very tempting offer.
So people stop going to the gym, psychiatrists to become fit or to unfear your fear! Take the pledge today and travel in buses, it saves petrol also! To make the nation healthy and to save fuel, travel in buses!
