Will, Wish and Work!

It seems like yesterday when dreams were your life and all you could see was to do something which you would love. But today when you are en route it seems tediously painful with sorrow. Is the dream just a vision of attaining and not the journey?  The chase is so intense that we lose out on the small moments of hard work, realization, the commitment we put in, the support around us. Just the chase is enough and when we reach there and look back, nothing. It’s all gone, these moments are all gone and then the realization hits it was not the achievement it was the journey!

The 3 Ws, are like fuel to humans without which a human is just like a appendicitis, useless!  The order may seem odd, as wish must come first then will and then work, but if you wish without the will to achieve it is no longer wish its just fantasy, thin line of difference. Will is like the ignition of a car, once that goes good we are set to embark on the journey of happiness and success. It's said somewhere that happiness is not a place to reach it is a state of mind, so happiness cannot be achieved it can only be lived. The will determines the person’s relative success; a rich man is always hungry so is always chasing money which brings him happiness, and the poor who are happy, because the will is limited. On the parameter of will, there is no right or wrong, it is just satisfaction.

The topic can go really beyond limits if we start considering factors like greed, ethics, pride etc. These are complications; it is just the 3 Ws. Life seems so easy and yet ends up being complicated, because we add the ingredients like greed, pride, ego and what not. Society should be a place of mutual understanding and happiness, but it ends up being the judge, the critic the godfather. Why are we slaves to what others think? Are we answerable to them? Or is it the inner us which needs to happy? I understand the English grammar rule, if I come before he/she, then I becomes a donkey. But life is not English grammar for god sake, be answerable to your will, wish and work. The 2 major questions to be asked are, is my will strong enough to achieve my wish, is my work good enough to justify my wish?


Work, the third and the most powerful aspect, we sometimes see people without will and wish but the hunger to work is there. For those who felt science and philosophy cannot be related, here it is, just work is direction less hence a scalar quantity as physics says, because there is work but the direction is the wish and will! Hence with one aspect science and philosophy go hand in hand. Work in no meaning goes in vain. The interdependence of work, will and wish is deep enough to send the so called thinkers to a slumber. The bottom line is, will is the start and wish is the journey not the destination and work is the action. Work for a wonderful journey not an end. End is boring live the journey and life will be a constant state of happiness through infinity!

I was at home attending school, living the life of a normal child; it was on the weekends that he made up for the absence during the week. He took me to the slums the first day and then only on the day when it was no longer a slum. I was surprised, and only then did I realise, what he had done in those 5 years. We are an informed generation. Smartphone, internet, websites have enriched our lives with information. The ability to stare at a 5 inch glass screen and getting to know about what is going on in any corner of the world is astounding.
