My Latest Wish!

Dreams and hopes is something which keeps us going, it is the dreams which, gives us hope and it is the mutual dependence of each other which keeps the beauty alive. Regardless of what the situation and what the outcome is humans can never stop dreaming and never stop hoping. Same is the case with me, understanding the relation took some time but then it did come, it happened just when I was wondering what to do in life. The confusion in my life had brought in chaos both professionally and personally. Have always dreamt to die for the country, and then the profession that I have chosen is a tricky thing. An engineer by profession, with a wish to serve the nation is one hell of a confusion to go through. Some might say its easy people will come forward and give you advice and all that. But in the end there are factors like family, career and money.

The plan is to become an IAS officer and make an impact where ever I get to work. Then at a later stage, i.e. join politics. If things happen the way I want them, then there’s no looking back, I’ll be living and working my dream. My dream is to work for the country and to undergo everything is the beginning of my dream. Anyways now that I’ve decided to go through with my plan rather than become a software professional, I want to give it my 100%.

 Now what really inspired me take the decision is the CNBC IBN Indian of the year awards. It was a treat, every time, an Indian walked up to take the award I had goose bumps, somewhere in my heart I felt I belonged there. Not that I wanted the award, it was the feeling that they had made the nation proud and I wanted to be one of them. The entire episode fuelled my dream. I have no idea if that show will change my life but one thing is there I’ve decided what to do with my life.   The dream to serve the nation is like thirst which keeps increasing, the more I am kept to wait. It is like the beautiful rainbow, the more you look at it the less you want to take off your eyes. The dream is the fuel which keeps me driving to do work which I never imagined. All my non academic activities are the result of the dream. All my experience is the teaching school which I would need in the future. My latest wish is the last wish of my life.

I was at home attending school, living the life of a normal child; it was on the weekends that he made up for the absence during the week. He took me to the slums the first day and then only on the day when it was no longer a slum. I was surprised, and only then did I realise, what he had done in those 5 years. Educated Fools: Just education will not change the world

We are an informed generation. Smartphone, internet, websites have enriched our lives with information. The ability to stare at a 5 inch glass screen and getting to know about what is going on in any corner of the world is astounding. Viral videos, social experiments, latest news will not change the world, whereas understanding them, questioning the motive behind them, transforming information to knowledge will enrich the world and make it a better place. Everywhere I go, I hear people say, “What can I do, all this is way beyond my power”. Saving water, saving electricity, speaking up to wrong just around you, these are things all of us can do.
